Parkway North High School Storm Shelter


According to NOAA, approximately 1,000 tornadoes are reported nationwide, and the Midwest is a hotspot for these natural disasters. This soon-to-be built storm shelter could potentially save lives, and it felt good to work on this project.

 
 
  • To initiate this project, I drafted a contract summary sheet for McCarthy’s operation analyst for subsurface utility mapping:

  • After creating the contract summary sheet, I assisted the design team in the quality control process by meticulously examining the utilities using the QC Checklist in a BlueBeam Studio Session:

  • After finishing quality control, I created a conflict analysis report informing McCarthy’s construction project manager of 62 utility discrepancies that could cause issues and or delay future construction:

  • To close out the project, I created an invoice for the mapping project manager to be sent to McCarthy’s construction project manager so that McCarthy’s Mapping Department was able to recognize revenue for the project:
