Saint Louis Zoo WildCare Park


As a kid, I always loved going to the zoo with my mom, my dad, and my sister; therefore, I enjoyed taking part in the pre-construction process for a zoo that many other families will soon get to appreciate. This project spanned 88 acres and brought in a total revenue of $233,775 to McCarthy’s Mapping Department.

 
 
  • For this project, I assisted the design team in the quality control process by methodically examining each utility in the drawings—as per the standards of the QC Checklist—and commenting on potential issues in a BlueBeam Studio Session. Additionally, I reviewed 4 electrical vault diagrams to ensure proper connectivity:

  • After conducting quality control, I created a conflict analysis report informing the owner of 112 utility discrepancies that could be problematic during construction and or operations:

  • To help close out the project, I created an invoice for the mapping project manager to be sent to the director of architecture & construction for the St. Louis Zoo so that McCarthy’s Mapping Department was able to recognize revenue for the project:
